At Sokah2Soca, we love to select and promote songs that stand out from the pack. Most of the time, all the credit goes to the artist, and nothing should be taken away from the artist in this song. Viking Ding Dong has grown and excelled year after year. Having said that, we applaud the creativity of the AdvoKit Production team while heaping praise on the songwriting team of Kitwana Israel, Jelani “Pops” Shaw, and Andre Houlder. Yes, we love this song and approve of it wholeheartedly.

The vibe of this song just feels good and places the listener in a J'ouvert morning space. Just close your eyes and listen to the song. Soak in the lyrics and immerse your auditory senses in this magical vibe that digs deep into the musical culture of Trinidad and Tobago. This just feels like 'a mash-up de place' vibe feting all night into J'Ouvert morning. No rest all night, then paint and powder to greet the sunrise. This is all about Mas; this is about our culture. Can you feel it?

We approve of this song; the lyrical content is on point, and the musical production just takes the production to a place where carnival dreams come true. When you listen to this song, you will subconsciously experience the culture and vibe of the Twin Island Republic, sweet Trinidad and Tobago. Kudos to all involved with this production.

The artist who captures the spirit of Shadow is none other than Marvin 'Swappi' Davis. He has shown his respect for Shadow's style with songs that have copied Shadow's singing style. Today we present a song by Swappi that has captured the abstract mind of Shadow's musical style. Swappi dug deep into our cultural heritage and chose not to sweep anything under the rug. From Jumbie to Obeah man and a cocoyeah broom to call out the spirits of our musical style.

The music for this song captures a spiritual style that could only be brought to life by Marvin 'Swappi' Davis. Kudos to Johann Seaton and Seuman Keelan Callendar for capturing the spirit of the music and blending it all with the magic of Swappi's harnessing of Sadow's musical madness. If you love creative music that goes against the grain, then "Sweep" by Swappi will lift up your spirit for Carnival 2024.

Let it be known that we approve of this song. The unusual musical style stands out from the rest of the music releases to date. If you love an unusual vibe that just works, then Swappi will become one of your favorite artists. Niceness, we say!

Another major contribution to Trinidad and Tobago's carnival in 2024. The land of Calypso and Soca, and now, for Soca music, the land of collaborations. This song brings out nostalgia and reminds us of the time King David Rudder blessed our nation with sweet music. The song "Major Damage" hits the sweet spot for lyrical value and is 'full of vibes and musical mastery'.

What a job—a production that makes us feel so good and tremendously homesick. Kudos to the producers, NMG Music and XplicitMevon. Both David Rudder and Devon "Lyrikal" Martin have to be praised, not just for their excellent vocals but more so for the superb lyrics that capture the 'spirit of carnival'. The musicians on the track, the pannist, and the percussion team were all excellent. Background vocalist, Keoné Osbourne, is back and adding to this excellent production.

We love this song, we recommend this song, and it will be an interesting song to capture on the steel pan and play for Panorama by one of the more talented steel bands for this upcoming competition and festival. Yes, this is one of the best music releases thus far.

Shurwayne Winchester is the Michael Jackson of West Indian Soca. He has the moves and still looks young for a veteran of Soca music. Today we present his latest offering for Trinidad and Tobago's upcoming carnival in 2024. The song is titled "Iron Man." Shurwayne offers a glimpse of his unique talent as a singer and, most of all, his talent as an entertainer.

In the music video, Shurwayne can be seen grooving to the music in various scenes; he is dancing to music produced by Shot Master J on the Bess Box Riddim. Kyle Phillips of Badjohn Republic, based out of KMP Music Studios, handled additional production.

We recommend this song; it is lively, full of vibes, and showcases the talent of Tobago's finest, Shurwayne Winchester. If you love Soca, and especially if you are in the mood for some upbeat Soca, then "Iron Man" is your song. This is one to watch...
