Fete in Numbers: Lyrikal’s Call to Break Records

By Published December 16, 2025

Dive deeper into Caribbean music and culture at Sokah2Soca—your go-to source for Soca, Calypso, and Carnival coverage. First published on Sokah2Soca, now streaming live via Island Vybe Radio.

Soca powerhouse Lyrikal delivers fresh energy with his latest track, “Break Record,” riding the vibrant Lights Riddim. Lyro has consistently delivered excellent music, and together with the production team, consisting of Cool It Productions, Kernal Roberts, and Azikiwe Keller, he has another weapon for stage appearances for Trinidad's 2026 Carnival.

The song, featuring Lyrikal's signature vocals and executive produced by Ryan Shing Hon, is a celebration of Carnival’s heartbeat. Written by Kernal Roberts and Devon Martin, the lyrics capture the passion, unity, and joy of people coming together as “one family.”

“Break Record” is all about readiness for the road, embracing the music, and reveling in the festivities. Lyrikal encourages fans to fete in numbers, set new records for positive vibes, and immerse themselves in the Carnival spirit. As he declares in the track, “yuh cyar get enough of me.”

We love the vibe, the message, and Lyrikal’s unmistakable vocal style. This one is highly recommended by the Sokah2Soca crew—a true anthem for the season.
