The Top 10 list conveys a sense of finality and features songs that are widely recognized as hitmakers. While the selections on this list are popular, some are favorites from Carnival 2025, and the list may not accurately represent the true top 10 songs currently resonating on the ground. So, what songs are heating radio play in Trinidad and Tobago as charted by COTT (Copyright Organization of Trinidad and Tobago)? We have listed them below and included a YouTube playlist for your listening pleasure. This Top 10 list reflects the songs that program directors across various radio stations have deemed most played—not necessarily the biggest trending hits, but a snapshot of what’s dominating the airwaves.
As mentioned, this list doesn’t necessarily reflect the top movers or trending songs in the country; instead, it offers an overview of what is receiving consistent radio play. It remains uncertain whether the plays are driven by listener requests or if program directors are selecting tracks they believe will engage audiences. However, one thing is clear: if you’re vibing to the sweet melodies of KES, feeling the energy of Machel Montano, or getting lost in the rhythm of Bunji Garlin, there’s no doubt that Soca continues to reign supreme! We just wish there were a better method for charting the "Top 10 songs."
Top 10 Soca Radio Plays for Week Ending 05/14/2025, as per COTT Charting:
- Bamcie—Yung Bredda x Added Rankin
- Good Spirits—Full Blown
- Cocoa Tea—Kes x Tano
- Take Me Home—Freetown Collective
- Party—Machel Montano
- One Piece—GBM Nutron x Tano
- Carry It—Bunji Garlin x Stemz
- Jamtown—Coutain x Tano
- The Greatest Bend Over—Yung Bredda x Full Blown Entertainment
- Tabanca—Mical Teja

This is a first for Sokah2Soca; today, we present some songs that are making waves on the French island of St. Maarten. Our goal is to showcase all the new Soca music and artists from across the region. Many sites that report on Soca music often fail to keep up with the abundance of music from the diaspora. We began by highlighting the top 10 songs from major Soca-producing countries across the Caribbean region. Today, we bring you a different vibe, featuring several Bouyon songs alongside sweet Soca music.
This will not be a one-time post. We will continue to monitor countries with Soca music and highlight it on an ongoing basis. Today, we express our gratitude to Largeradio and, more importantly, SmalliSlandMassive for curating a list of trending songs, which they refer to as "Drive Time Picks."
Please note that Large Radio is one of the stations included in our Soca Radio Station list. You can access that list of radio stations by clicking here: By clicking here, you can view that list of radio stations: Top Soca Music Radio Stations: Where to Listen to the Best Caribbean Beats.
We encourage you to tune in and enjoy the vibrant sounds of Soca music, as it brings the energy and spirit of the Caribbean right to your speakers. Finally, tell us what you think about the songs presented for this post and what others you want us to feature. Now press play and enjoy the YouTube-listed songs.

The feting continues, and we are no longer bound by any religious holiday to enjoy and appreciate the fresh music vibes available, particularly those rooted in our local culture. That's over, and today we present the vibrant rhythm of Trinidad and Tobago. Yung Bredda and BMAN have teamed up with N.M.G. Music to deliver their latest music release titled "Perfect Fit." This song comes in time for all the upcoming carnivals in the Caribbean Basin. Let's sit back and watch the rise of Yung Bredda in the Caribbean now that he is a household name in Trinidad and Tobago.
This collaboration is one that simply makes sense. Yung Bredda and BMAN, both known for their lyrical strengths, are a perfect fit for this music release. "Perfect Fit" was written by Akhenation Lewis (Yung Bredda) and BMAN; the song seamlessly blends their styles—melding infectious melodies with lyrics that celebrate connection, energy, and the essence of Soca music. However, while they may have tapped into an emerging Caribbean youth energy, many will very likely not appreciate the lyrics.
While Yung Bredda and BMAN are the prominent faces of the new music, the true champion behind the scenes is Nikholai Greene, the composer and producer of the track. Nikholai, from N.M.G. Music, took charge of the production, mixing, and mastering, skillfully capturing the essence and rhythm of Trinidad and Tobago's music.
Now, while the rest of the Caribbean islands have their unique variant of soca, the music that comes out of Trinidad is always a draw, especially in North America and Europe. We expect that there will be a market that wants to hear the music of the youth, the music of Yung Bredda and BMAN, the new and upcoming sound/vibe for the future of Soca music. Some may scoff upon reading that, but times are changing, and hopefully we all find ourselves in the right zone.
A word of caution for Yung Bredda
Yung Bredda, your talent is undeniably one of the surprises for Carnival 2025 in Trinidad and Tobago. Your name, music, and skills will take you to places you may never have imagined. We appreciate that soca is all about energy and joy, and your talent certainly brings happiness to many. However, could you consider toning down the explicit lyrics? Instead, take some time to think about creating songs that will inspire and motivate the youth. Focus on uplifting messages that encourage young men to show respect to women. While explicit lyrics can be a form of self-expression in music, the present isn’t the right time for them, and you currently have too many songs with explicit content. Although these songs may resonate with the youth today, they might not leave a positive lasting impact. While Yung Bredda gives good advice to the youth to stay away from thug life and to scorn gang violence, he needs to tone down using females as an object of manipulation and dominance by males. You have the potential to channel your artistry into empowering messages; this approach will maintain the high energy and help you create a legacy that spans generations. Keep pushing boundaries, but remember the influence your voice can have!
As we enter another weekend and people prepare for fun activities and soca parties, we invite you to listen to this track and share your thoughts with us. Soca lovers, take note—Yung Bredda and BMAN have delivered a song that the youth will embrace. Many will celebrate Perfect Fit, but many will also frown upon it.
