Weekend (TGFW) Live Jam Session

By Published September 26, 2025

This post first appeared on Sokah2Soca, where Caribbean music meets wit, rhythm, and real talk. Island Vybe Radio spins the tunes—we decode the culture.

Back in July, Mical Teja and Tano dropped a gem on us—"Weekend (TGFW)"—a track so beautifully written and produced, it instantly became a Sokah2Soca favorite. The song's vibes, vocals, and message embodied pure Soca soul.

I believe that we will continue to play this song year after year. Yes, this is a signature song that will become a party anthem for every carnival to come in Trinidad and Tobago.

The original is wonderful, but there is something special about this live jam session. It is Saturday and everyone is jamming music as they go about their weekend activities. So we are here enhancing the experience with a unique Live Jam Session, featuring Mical Teja and the consistently tight Temperature The Band. This rendition brings a whole new energy to the song. The live brass? Pure fire ? It adds a layer of richness that makes the original feel even better. And Teja’s talent? Front and center, glowing like a Caribbean sunrise.

This track is our Saturday offering to Soca lovers everywhere. Turn up the volume, have the song on replay and enjoy the vibes! Damn, Soca music is so sweet and we will repeat, Soca has no season. The music and our culture are in excellent hands.

Let us spread awareness of the Caribbean diaspora's culture.
Our goal is to promote Caribbean culture, musicians, and music producers. We are able to honor and promote the rich sounds and tales of the Caribbean thanks to your support. Together, we can ensure that this rich cultural legacy continues to reach a wider audience and foster creativity and connections. While you should always buy music for sale, you should avoid sharing promotional music because it denies songwriters, producers, and artists important revenue. Please be aware that all of our posts are available online via social media platforms like FacebookYouTubeInstagramSpotify, and SoundCloud.
