Today, Soca2Soca is playing catch-up with posts for songs released for Carnival 2024 in Trinidad and Tobago. One of the people's favorite artists and a participant in England's "The X Factor," Ola, as he is fondly known, can deliver captivating music. This song is no different; we are pleased to present "Bodyguard" by Olatunji for Carnivals in 2024.
In the pulsing heart of Trinidad and Tobago's 2024 carnival, Olatunji's "Bodyguard" explodes with the vibrant soul of Soca. Produced by Taylor Made Productions and penned by Jason "Shaft" Bishop, the track shimmers with the promise of sun-drenched revelry. Mastered by Garth Sinnette of Action One Studios, it's a sonic kaleidoscope of driving beats and infectious melodies, painting a picture of a devoted protector.
Olatunji's lyrics weave a tale of unwavering commitment, his voice a smooth caress amidst the vibrant chaos. He's her shield against the carnival's frenzied embrace, her constant rock amidst the swirling throngs.
"Bodyguard" isn't just a song; it's a declaration of love, a promise whispered over the infectious rhythm of the Euphoria Riddim (Sweet Soca Music). It's a testament to the unwavering bond between reveler and protector, a love song pulsating to the heartbeat of the Caribbean carnival.

Just "Fuh Spite," we are back with Kes the Band and their anthem from January 2023. Today they debuted the official music video, just in time for Carnival 2024. Yes, we are aware that this is unusual to repackage and post again, but this is Kes, and Kes can do no wrong.
The music video presents the music and culture that we love so much. As much as the song tells a story, the video presentation adds color and life to the culture of Trinidad and Tobago. We love the vibe, and even though it is a song we know from Carnival 2023, we think it will do just fine for Carnival 2024! Enjoy...

Damn, Bunji, and these thought-provoking songs. Once again, Bunji has penned a song that people are talking about. Most of the time people say they love the song simply because it sounds good (to them) but sometimes the lyrics simply get overlooked. What do you think about the lyrics for this one? The vibe is right and it feels good but the lyrics...
This is a hit of Miss Ok Bunji, here is our take on the events taking place in this song:
If you think that I am all about you or even thinking about you, please don't flatter yourself and your importance. I respect you, and maybe you are accustomed to thinking that everything said or done around you is about you. No, I was not even thinking about you!
You imagined eyes boring into your back, dissecting every twitch and nervous move, making you so self-conscious. Your mind is spinning stories, weaving conversations from snippets of laughter and perceived glances your way.
In reality, the situation and scene are buzzing with their own oblivious symphony, unaware of the silent drama playing out in your head, where even a glance in your direction becomes a coded message or taunt.
Your mind became a twisted prism, bent every ray of attention into a searing beam of scrutiny, turning the harmless hum of everyday life into a cacophony of perceived judgment.
